Hot Cross Buns

Mix together and set aside:
3 cups lukewarm milk
4 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp salt
In another bowl, mix together:
1 cup lukewarm water
1 tsp sugar
1 pkg (1 tbsp) dry action yeast
2 tsp cinnamon
6 to 8 cups flour
2 cups glacéed fruit mix (or raisins)
Glaze: 3 tbsp icing sugar mixed with a bit of milk
Let yeast mixture stand for 15 minutes then add to milk mixture. Mix in flour and fruit mix.  Knead until firm.
Place dough in a large greased bowl and let rise until double in size. Form into buns and let rise again until double in size. Bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool completely before glazing. Mark crosses on buns with the icing glaze.
