A story in The Senior Paper reminded me of our exciting school outing to Wainwright, Alta. to see the King and Queen.
We made the trip in an open grain truck. It was too bad my mother could not have taken my place because she was so keen on the Royal family and the Dion quintuplets.
She made scrapbooks with newspaper clippings of both families. Although I was close enough to touch the Queen, it would not be wise to divulge my secret excitement to my mother or schoolmates.
My reason for being excited was fulfilled as we left the park and saw the majestic buffalo.
