Nature

From our April 2012 issue

By Viola (Redmann) Schottenbauer – Pierson, Man.

I wandered in a tiny vale,
Where stately elm trees grew,
Where swallows singing in the trees
Showed up against the blue.

Beneath the trees the grass grew green
Where sprang the beautiful flowers
And all around were wonderful things
Made by the good Lord’s powers.

Who are we to criticize?
The things He’s made so dear,
Nature, beauty, and everything
He’s made for us down here.
