The Tensions of the Day

From our March 2012 issue

By Leo Hawes – Regina, Sask.

You cannot gain a thing
By throwing things away
Or keeping locked inside
The tensions of the day.

Let it out and say your peace
Your burden you can bear,
If others know your problems
They’ll be glad to share.

By the Ten Commandments
We know we must abide,
Forget about your troubles
And set them all aside.

We’ll be glad we held our tempers,
Over the tensions of the day
When the Lord returns to earth
On that Judgment Day.
