Vegetable Soup

1 medium onion
1 medium carrot
1 celery stalk plus leaves
1⁄2 cup (or more) chopped, cabbage
1 small bay leaf
1⁄2 tsp salt

1 pkg Lipton tomato vegetable soup mix
1 sachet beef OXO powder
6 spaghetti noodles
1 can condensed vegetable
soup or 1 can tomato soup
1 can tomatoes (optional)

Chop onion, carrot, and celery. Place in saucepan with cabbage, and cover with 5 cups boiling water. Add bay leaf and salt.

Cook over medium heat until vegetables are tender. Remove bay leaf.

Add packaged Lipton soup and beef powder. Break up spaghetti. Add to pot with 2 more cups water (add more water if too thick).

Season to taste with garlic powder, oregano, dill weed, etc. Stir in condensed soup and canned tomatoes, is using.

Heat through.
