When I was a teenager, I corresponded with a twin pen pal, but as I grew older and got married, our correspondence fell by the wayside.
Two years ago, shortly before our 80th birthdays, I read a letter in The Senior of this lady looking for me. I didn’t recognize her married name but found it in the phone directory and contacted her.
On my 80th birthday my family hosted a party for me and the best part of that party was meeting for the first time, my twin pen pal, Joyce (Halliday) Goeke from Teulon, Manitoba.
All those years, we were not many miles apart. Now we keep in touch. Thank you to The Senior Paper.
